Askorly

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Draft for review. Askorly is an early prototype and is not yet used by real students. This page describes how we plan to operate and is not legal advice. It will be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before launch.

Askorly teaches students how to think. Because many of our learners are children, we collect as little information as we can and we protect what we hold. This page explains our approach.

1. Who we are

Askorly is built and operated by ProgrammersCube. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean ProgrammersCube.

2. Where we are today

Askorly is an early prototype. The sign-up and login forms do not save anything yet, and no real student data is collected. The sections below describe how we will handle information once Askorly is available to students.

3. What we will collect

  • Account details: name, email address and an age band, not a full date of birth unless the law requires it.
  • Learning data: answers, hints used, practice results, mastery of each skill and tutoring conversations.
  • Technical data: basic logs such as errors, speed and cost of each request, used to keep the service working.
  • For children, we collect the minimum needed to teach them.

4. How we use information

  • To teach: choosing the right next question and tracking progress over time.
  • To show parents and guardians how their child is doing.
  • To keep learners safe, including checking messages for harmful content.
  • To improve the quality of the tutor using test sets we create and grade ourselves.

5. What we promise not to do

  • We do not show advertising or use advertising trackers.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not use learners' conversations to train AI models owned by other companies.

6. AI providers

To write tutoring replies, Askorly sends the relevant part of a conversation to an AI model provider. We choose providers and settings so that learner conversations are not used to train their models, and we send only what is needed for the reply.

7. Children

Accounts for children under 13 are created and verified by a parent or guardian. Parents can see their child's progress and conversations. Tutoring transcripts for children under 13 are deleted after 12 months unless the parent chooses to keep them. See our Child Safety page for more.

8. Keeping data and deleting it

  • You can export your data in one click.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and data, and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
  • We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above or required by law.

9. Security

We encrypt information in transit and at rest, and limit access so that each user sees only their own data.

10. Your rights and changes to this policy

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your information, and to object to some uses. If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell parents and users before the change takes effect.
